Certain essential oils used in home suppositories can support the prostate by helping to reduce infection and swelling, improve urinary function, increase circulation, improve sexual function, and ease pain.
Most men diagnosed with a prostate condition will choose to use either our BPH Essential Oil Blend or Prostatitis Essential Oil Blend, depending on their diagnosis.
If you aren't sure whether you have BPH (benign prostatic hyperplasia) or prostatitis, but want to support the health of your prostate and help improve its function over the long term, you can use both of these essential oil blends by alternating them in daily suppositories. Both blends provide unique benefits to prostate health, and our clients have reported good results through alternation of these essential oil blends.
Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) is a non-malignant enlargement of the prostate which affects approximately 50% of men aged 51-60 in the US.
Symptoms of BPH may include a frequent need to urinate, trouble starting a urine stream, a weak or dribbling stream, unintentional loss of urine, and/or pain during urination.
Prostatitis (inflammation of the prostate) is the most common prostate problem for men younger than 50, and affects 10-15% of the US male population.
Prostatitis occurs when the prostate is overwhelmed with toxins, usually due to a poor diet and other environmental factors of modern living. Symptoms of prostatitis may include fever, pus-like discharge from the penis, pain in the groin or pelvic area, burning during urination, and/or a frequent need to urinate.
