What Is a Colon Implant? How Is It Different from a Rectal Suppository?
A coconut and essential oil rectal suppository (learn more here) is a therapeutic delivery system that is inserted into the rectum, where it melts and offers healing to the rectal area, as well as the prostate gland in men, and is absorbed into the bloodstream. Rectal suppositories are used to deliver both systemically and locally acting healing essential oils and are held in the body for hours.
A colon implant, on the other hand, is an enema-based therapy which delivers healing essential oils or other therapeutic substances throughout the entire colon, not just the rectal area. The colon implant is held for a minimum of 15 minutes.
Why Take a Colon Implant?
1. To Reduce Your Chances of Diverticula
Diverticula are sac-like protrusions of mucosa through the muscles of the colonic wall. These protrusions occur throughout the entire colon in weak areas of the bowel wall. (A single pouch is called a diverticulum.)
Prevalence of diverticula by age (from a 2007 World Gastroenterology Organization report):
- Age 40: 5%
- Age 60: 30%
- Age 80: 65%
Regular colon implants will reduce your chances of acquiring diverticula.
(This recipe will also help keep existing diverticula from acquiring infection or inflammation.)
Customer Testimonial: "This is the best resource I've found in all my searches on the internet for dealing with diverticulitis. Your information is thorough, and well-researched. I enjoyed reading your articles and watching your videos. Thank you, and keep up the excellent work building a wellness hub."
2. To Reduce Your Chances of Colon Cancer
Overall, the lifetime risk of developing colorectal cancer is about 1 in 20. Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer diagnosed in both men and women in the United States. The American Cancer Society's estimates for the number of colorectal cancer cases in the United States for 2013 are:
- 102,480 new cases of colon cancer
- 40,340 new cases of rectal cancer
Colorectal cancer is expected to cause about 50,830 deaths during 2013.
Colorectal cancer can occur anywhere in the colon or in the rectum.
The scientific literature on cancer and frankincense is incredibly hopeful. International laboratory research has demonstrated frankincense essential oil's ability to shut down cancer cells without harming healthy cells. Because of this, frankincense is an excellent choice for a weekly colon implant for all of us.
- 1-2 quarts of water or aloe vera juice (Aloe barbadensis)
- 10-12 drops of Frankincense Essential Oil
- 1-2 teaspoons of a Celtic Sea Salt (never use table salt)
3. If You Are Allergic to Coffee or Caffeine and Cannot Take Coffee Enemas
The therapeutic action of the coffee enema is to improve the abilities of the liver and gallbladder to remove toxins and cancerous metabolic byproducts by stimulating the flow of bile and increasing the enzymatic action of the liver. However, some people do not do well with coffee enemas. The essential oils of ledum, celery seed, and helichrysum have long been known for their liver cleansing and regenerative properties. They also improve circulation to the liver, increase bile flow, stimulate liver cell function, and have been clinically used in treating Hepatitis C.
4. To Heal from Candida Overgrowth
By bringing anti-fungal essential oils into contact with the entire colon, you will have a better chance of eliminating Candida from your entire body. The healthy bacteria in your gut typically keep your Candida levels in an optimal range. However, when Candida overgrows, it breaks down the wall of the intestine and penetrates the bloodstream and organs, releasing toxic byproducts into your body. This often leads to many different health problems which range from athlete's foot and toenail fungus to chronic fatigue, multiple chemical sensitivities, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and fibromyalgia.
5. To Optimize Levels of Healthy Bacteria in the Colon
Bifidonate Large Intestine Support works in the colon to keep it healthy and help deter undesirable bacteria. Bifidonate is an easy-to-use, dairy-free powder containing B. bifidum Malyoth super strain, a potent and beneficial bacteria. The Optimal Health Network recommends this powder for implanting into the colon after an enema series to restore bacterial balance in the colon.
Like a garden, the colon must be cultivated year after year. Most people think that probiotics is the way to do this. It turns out that taking probiotics is not the only way, or even an optimal way, to optimize the flora in the colon. Why? Because there are 300 to 1000 different species of bacteria that live in the gut, and each of us has a unique gut bacteria population. - Learn More about Gut Flora Optimization
6. To Support Healthy Colonic Mucosa
- 10-12 drops of one of the following essential oil blends (best to use them in rotation)
- 1-2 teaspoons of Celtic Sea Salt
- 1 cup of aloe vera juice (Aloe barbadensis)
In addition to what is outlined above, there are even more reasons to take colon implants using essential oils:
Essential oils such as clove can decrease the viscosity or thickness of the blood, enhancing circulation and immune function. Adequate circulation is vital to good health, since it affects the function of every cell and organ, including the brain. Essential oils can also stimulate the secretion of antibodies, neurotransmitters, endorphins, hormones, and enzymes.
Essential oils such as lavender have been shown to promote the growth of hair and increase the rate of wound healing. These oils increase the uptake of oxygen and ATP (adenosine triphosphate), the fuel for individual cells. European scientists have studied the ability of essential oils like lemon, tangerine, and orange to work as natural chelators, binding with heavy metals and petrochemicals.

How to Prepare and Deliver the Implant Solution
First, take two cleansing enemas before the colon implant in order to empty your colon. (It is best to clear the colon before taking the implant.) Then, add your liquid to your silicone enema bag or stainless steel enema bucket. Before you add the salt and essential oils, hold the salt in the palm of your hand or put into a small bowl, drop oil into the salt, and then add this mixture to your implant liquid . Take the colon implant into your body as you would an enema -- slowly. By allowing 10-15 minutes to take the entire volume of this colon implant and by using a
colon tube to deliver the solution deeper into the colon, your body will have an easier time holding onto the implant.
To determine the best oils for your individual body, consider having an

made-for-enema soap. To mix the soap and water, soak the bar of soap in high-quality water for 20-60 seconds to make a milky solution. While taking the enema solution in, massage the abdomen to receive the water with less cramping.
Our made-for enema goat milk soaps contain butyric acid , which is the main food source of the cells in the lining of the colon, supporting them to function properly and maintain the integrity of the intestinal lining.
How to Use Enema Soap
Use OHN Colon Cleanse Essential Oil Blend mixed with a high-quality
Celtic Sea Salt in the second enema in the series. The oils in OHN Colon Cleanse Essential Oil Blend (citronella, lemongrass, rosemary, melaleuca, lavandin, and myrtle) are shown to act together to encourage tissue repair, neutralize toxins, feed the healthy flora in the colon, and kill parasitic organisms. These oils can also kill a flu bug before you even know you have it, reduce overall inflammation in the body, and improve metabolism.
How to mix the enema solution: Hold the salt in the palm of your hand or put into a small bowl, drop oil into the salt and then add this mixture to your enema water. Use 3-5 drops oil and 1 tsp Celtic Sea Salt to each quart of
