Introduction

In 1998, before influencers, before biohacking, before detox became a hashtag, Optimal Health Center opened its doors with a simple mission: to help people improve their health in the way that works best for them.

We did not begin as a product company. We began as a conversation.

From the beginning, my approach required attentive listening, nutritional plans, supplements, and colon and enema hydrotherapy. Not trends. Not fads. Not miracle powders. Conversation. Assessment. Adjustment.

And that is why we are still here.

We Were Built on Healing, Not Hype

When I wrote Ten Days to Optimal Health, I did not write as a theorist. I wrote as a survivor.

"My name is Kristina. I am a survivor... Today, I am healthy, happy, and proud that after a long battle filled with despair, I am winning!"

Before Optimal Health Network existed online, there were years of chronic pain, confusion, contradictory advice, and protocols that left me worse than when I started. I followed strict regimens. I took 20 to 30 supplements a day. I fasted. I eliminated. I obeyed.

And I became sicker.

That experience forced something deeper than compliance. It forced discernment. From that discernment emerged a principle that has outlived every wellness cycle: The body is designed to heal.

"You can heal. Your body's healing abilities are intact. If you cut your finger, it will heal. You can heal!"

Trends promise transformation. We trust physiology.

We Never Chased Commerce Over Health

Long before social media ads for "gut resets," we were questioning the profit-driven food system.

"Foods and all other ingestible products are produced to have long shelf lives... with the lowest overhead and the highest profitability. Very few producers... place health above profitability."

That tension between commerce and health is not new. It is structural.

Dr. Weston A. Price documented that when traditional diets were replaced with what he called the "displacing diets of commerce," degeneration followed.

We built Optimal Health Network on that insight.

We emphasized:

  • raw dairy
  • grass-fed meats
  • bone broths
  • fermented foods
  • therapeutic fats
  • mineral sufficiency
  • gentle but effective colon cleansing

Not because they were trending. Because they were observed to work across cultures and across time.

When wellness moved toward low-fat, we did not.

When it moved toward stimulant-based "adrenal support," we did not.

When it swung toward extreme fasting without mineral support, we did not.

We have always prioritized rebuilding and nourishment over depletion.

We Structured Healing for Real Life

The Ten-Day model became our trademark because it worked.

"Staying focused and on track for at least ten days is an attainable goal for many people... I always tell my clients, 'You can do anything for ten days!'"

Instead of overwhelming people with perfection, we offered milestones:

  • Reaching for a New Normal
  • Ten-Day Restart
  • Final Cleanse

This structure was not marketing. It was psychology.

It built confidence.

It built compliance.

It built momentum.

Wellness trends often collapse under their own extremity. We built ours on sustainability.

We Never Separated Detox From Rebuilding

One of the most dangerous trends in modern wellness is aggressive detox without support.

“Because of this, my cleansing program has been developed to assist the liver and every cell in the body with the important work of removing toxins and rebuilding the body.”

Therapeutic fats. Mineral support. Structured colon cleansing. Nutrient density before deprivation.

We outlast trends because we never separated cleansing from nourishment.

We Trusted the Body More Than the Market

Optimal health, as written in the early pages of the book, is not symptom management.

"Optimal health is more than the, 'If it isn't broken, don't fix it,' mindset... It is the daily decision to do things as though your health really matters."

That mindset has never gone out of style.

The tools may evolve. The language may shift. Search engines may change.

But the principles remain:

  • The body can heal
  • Nutrient density matters
  • Detox requires support
  • Mineral balance changes outcomes
  • Colon health influences systemic health
  • Health is a lifestyle, not a purchase

Why We Are Still Here

We have helped tens of thousands of people not because we chased algorithms, but because we stayed grounded in physiology, tradition, and relationship. We were here before the supplement explosion. Before social media wellness. Before AI health summaries.

And we remain because what we built was never dependent on trend cycles. It was built on attentive listening, structured guidance, and belief in the body's healing capacity.

The world of wellness will continue to change. But the human body has not changed nearly as much as the marketing around it.

Optimal Health Network remains because we serve the body, not the cycle. And that is why we are still here.
