Our unique TME testing helps your doctor determine if your metal and element levels may show potentially toxic levels linked to unexplained signs and symptoms. Your body needs small amounts of certain elements such as copper and zinc, but elevated levels of many metals and elements — such as lead, mercury, arsenic and cadmium — can be toxic at any level. Note: This is our Timed Urinary Metals & Elements Test. For this test we recommend taking a chelating agent, Ortho N-Acetyl Cysteine, prior to collecting your sample. This test kit comes with a packet of 10 NAC capsules.

The Urinary Toxic Metals & Elements (TME) test from DiagnosTechs tests for 34 analytes plus creatinine. How the Testing Process Works

1. When you order a Urinary Toxic Metals & Elements (TME) panel, we will mail you a testing kit.
2. The accuracy of a urinary test depends upon many factors. While our lab partner, DiagnosTechs Labs, is responsible for the technical aspects of the test, the results will only be as good as the raw material or sample that is received. For this reason, please carefully follow the instructions included in the kit when collecting your urine samples.
3. Additionally, for this timed urinary test, it's important to take a chelating agent before you take your urine sample in order to push the toxic metals and minerals out of the body through the urine, to ensure the test is as accurate as possible. We recommend emptying your bladder, then taking 1 Ortho N-Acetyl Cysteine per 35 lbs. of body weight. Then collect all urine for the next 6 hours in the collection bag. Finally, take the sample for the lab from that collection per the instructions that come with the kit.
4. After you send your sample directly to the lab, it takes approximately 7-10 days for Optimal Health Network to receive the test results from the lab.
5. We will email a PDF of the test results to you once we receive them from the lab. These will be emailed to the email address associated with your Optimal Health Network account.
6. When you receive your test results from us, please fill out our secure client intake form. After you submit the form, you will receive a link to schedule your complimentary 15-minute consultation with Kristina via her booking calendar.
