Constipation Solutions
It would seem none of us are constipated. But, in fact, most of us are constipated — we just don't talk about our sluggish bowels.
We at the Optimal Health Network are proud to talk about bowel
movements. We believe it is absolutely essential, for optimal health,
to move your bowels daily. As a professional colon hydrotherapist, I
tell my clients that everyone needs to have at least one 12" stool daily — ideally two — which are at least the diameter of a quarter.
If your bowels move less than this, you are likely to run into
health problems at some point in your life. Stool is garbage. It is
full of toxins, discarded hormones, carcinogens, and unhealthy
microbes. This is just a partial list of the waste products in our
stool. The body works hard to throw out
what it no longer needs or is harmful to us. Fortunately and
unfortunately, the colon is a highly absorptive organ. If we
aren't moving out those two feet of stool daily, we are
reabsorbing poison as well as creating an ideal home for
disease-promoting microbes.
In my practice, I have helped clients overcome a wide array of
health problems due to constipation. These include, but are not
limited to, fatigue, obesity, irritable bowel syndrome, chronic gas
and bloating, sinus problems, headaches, mood and hormonal
imbalances, allergies, muscle aches, rectal and anal fissures, as
well as more severe imbalances, such as high blood pressure, blood
sugar imbalances, high cholesterol, fibromyalgia, and other chronic
illnesses. All of these health issues can potentially be eased or eliminated by addressing bowel function.
Lifestyle
In my book, Ten Days to Optimal Health, you will find a multi-step, ten-day program that will teach you what lifestyle habits relieve your
constipation. By working with your body in ten-day increments, you
increase your awareness of how your body works without feeling
imprisoned by the changes. You can do anything for ten days, yes?
In this way, you will more easily be able to choose foods and
activities that bring about regularity because you have set
yourself a reasonable goal, and you feel better. In addition, you
will come to understand what environmental stimuli cause you to get
constipated and what environmental stimuli assist your colon to
fully function. We are all aware that it is crucial that we take
good care of ourselves to have the kinds of lives we really want.
So why don't we? Often we don't because we feel
overwhelmed or we feel that it won't work. The Ten Days to Optimal
Health program is a clinically proven, easy-to-follow,
program. These wellness activities can
be completed in the privacy of your own home or with the help of a
colon hydrotherapist.

Primal Defense
Why do we need Primal Defense?
Beneficial soil-based and plant-based microbes (HSOs) used to be ingested as
part of food grown in rich, unpolluted soil. However, for the last 50
years we have been sterilizing our soil with pesticides and herbicides,
destroying most bacteria, both bad and good. Our modern lifestyle, which
includes antibiotic drug use, chlorinated water, chemical ingestion,
pollution, and poor diet, is responsible for eradicating much of the
beneficial bacteria in our bodies. A lack of beneficial microbes often
results in constipation, gas, and bloating. In addition,
HSOs work from the inside of the intestines, dislodging accumulated
decay on the walls and flushing out this old waste. HSOs work in
symbiosis with somatic (tissue or organ) cells to eliminate toxic waste
that has built up from years of constipation.

Fortified Flax
Fiber is essential for bowel function. Ground flax seeds are an excellent way to get the fiber you need
for daily bowel movements. Flax seed also contains soluble and insoluble
fiber, both of which are important in promoting normal
cholesterol levels. Just one quarter of a cup of flaxseed is
packed with 10 grams of fiber. Fiber acts as a broom, cleaning
out your intestines; it can help to promote regularity, plus the
fiber will help you feel full longer. To get more fiber in their
diets, many people take one of the powdered formulas, such as psyllium, that you can find
in drug stores. Unfortunately most of these
powders simply do not have the same high concentration of high-quality fiber that is found in flax or the heart-healthy
essential fatty acids or lignans.

Reacted Magnesium
Magnesium is the number one mineral that people are deficient
in. Constipation, muscle cramps, teeth grinding, and irritability are
all clear signs of a magnesium deficiency. According to the USDA,
most people do not even get close to the amount of magnesium they
need. Magnesium is crucial for proper bowel function.

Super Aloe
For the quick relief of constipation, Super Aloe is
formulated with the finest and most effective Aloe Ferox
available and will not harm your colon or your nervous system or
cause dependency. Cape Aloes is regarded as one of the best and safest laxatives on
the market.
Super Aloe
Raw fruits and vegetables (I highly recommended 6-12 servings daily)
Small amounts of quality protein throughout the day
2 to 4 quarts of reverse osmosis water daily
Colon Cleansing
Colon cleansing is a superb tool for the permanent relief of
constipation. Before drugs companies, colon cleansing was the tool
of choice for relief of constipation by doctors. Unfortunately,
most laxatives harm the colon, the stomach, the small intestines, and the
nervous system. In addition, laxatives do nothing to bring the body
into biochemical balance and a state of optimal functioning. Just as we brush
to maintain the health of our teeth and gums, it is plain good
sense to "brush" our colon. When you keep your bowels moving on a
daily basis, you are much more likely to stay young and vital into
old age. Your digestive system is everything to your health.
Colon Hydrotherapy
Colon
hydrotherapy (also called colonics or colon irrigation) is an age-old health
practice that gradually and soothingly cleanses the colon using
water.

Enemas
Throughout
history people have been using enemas as a method of cleansing the colon and as a central tool of preventive medicine. As a health practitioner, I
see daily that when used properly, enemas are an extremely effective tool for
permanent relief of constipation.
