What are essential oils?
Essential oils are the volatile liquids of the plant. They are obtained from properly distilling any part of the part including the seeds, roots, bark, stems, leaves, fruit, flowers, or branches.
Essential oils offer many benefits:
- They are safe and easy to use in a variety of ways. They can be diffused, applied topically, and taken both orally and as rectal implants.
- They can be used to support healthy body functions and to address specific health concerns.
- They are able to cross the blood-brain barrier and reach the amygdala and other limbic parts of the brain that help to support emotional health.
General dosage guidelines for using essential oils:
You will experience the greatest healing benefits from the oils if you use them both orally and in the colon. Use 3-10 drops orally, once or twice a day. Use 3-20 drops in your enema and/or suppository. You can use the oils in the colon as often as twice a day. You can also rub the oils on the back of the neck or along the spine.
