In addition to treating clients with therapeutic coffee enemas at the Optimal Health Center for over 15 years using signature made-for-enema coffee, Kristina and her team have developed this brand new drinking coffee! Our Marcala Dark Roast drinking coffee is fair-trade, shade-grown, air-roasted, and organic. All of our fairly traded coffee is tested upon receipt to the U.S. to ensure it is of the highest quality; anything that doesn't pass testing is rejected.
This coffee blend has a complex, spicy flavor with hints of dark chocolate. The coffee varieties in this blend come from the Marcala region of Honduras, grown by small-scale farmers who are part of the Café Orgánico Marcala S.A. (COMSA) collective. This collective is dedicated to the use of traditional, chemical-free agricultural techniques.
This blend is air-roasted by MOSA-certified Just Coffee Cooperative. The
air-roasted preparation of our coffee is very important. Traditional drum roasting adds trace amounts of known cancer-causing agents to your coffee. Air-roasting does not add smoke or flame to the beans, so carcinogenic effects are averted. Furthermore, for those with gluten sensitivity, air roasting prevents cross-reactivity with gluten in the body.
This 1-pound bag features high-barrier, laminated film foil with degassing valves, designed to inhibit coffee oxidation and preserve freshness. The bag is a resealable Ziploc.
Store your coffee in an airtight container in a cool, dry, dark place. For best taste, we recommend consuming your coffee within 6 months of purchase.
