Hi. |
| 12:59:50 | deedee |
Welcome, Randy, Dave and Howard! |
| 13:00:23 | DaveC | Off to a good start! |
| 13:00:35 | deedee |
We are going to start having weekly chats now, so if you would like a topic discussed in the future, or have some ideas of what you want to bring to the group, please let me know. |
| 13:00:45 | deedee |
Welcome, PH. |
| 13:01:01 | PH | Welcome! |
| 13:01:24 | randyu |
IBS would be my choice for a good topic, remedies and treatments. |
| 13:01:34 | howard |
Hello, DeeDee. You were very helpful with your suggestions about prostate and arthritis. |
| 13:02:05 | randyu |
Is E. coli bacteria in the intestine normal or just the "good" bacteria? |
| 13:02:33 | deedee |
Great suggestions! Howard, do we need to revisit the prostate and arthritis, or would you like to let us know what you are doing and how it is working for you? |
| 13:03:39 | randyu |
How do you balance the bacteria in the system to keep healthy - yogurt, etc.? |
| 13:03:40 | DaveC |
Weekly chats also noon Central on Wednesday? |
| 13:03:42 | deedee |
We do many times have E. coli in the intestines so it does happen, but we do not want it there. We do want to do some things that will help the body remove it before it does create a problem. |
| 13:03:43 | howard |
Yes, that would be good, but so far it is working :) lol |
| 13:04:54 | randyu |
Other than antibiotics, how do you get rid of E. coli? Had an episode a while back, took antibiotics and then got really constipated as a result. NO win. |
| 13:05:25 | deedee |
Yogurt is not enough good bacteria for most people. Eating a diet rich in fermented foods like yogurt, kefir, kombucha, fermented sauerkraut, veggies, like kimchee, etc., does help, but many people need a stronger dose like what is found in a probiotic supplement. |
| 13:05:45 | randyu |
Pink stuff helps but does not last; pills have side effects. |
| 13:06:27 | randyu |
Why hasn't the medical community recognized that these treatments may work better naturally? |
| 13:07:08 | deedee |
For the E. coli, I would do a bout of herbs that will help kill it off, and then also a bout of stronger probiotics. This usually will do the trick, but it also depends on what else is going on. |
| 13:07:36 | deedee |
Yes, live chat every Wednesday at 12 central, unless I am off that day, which we would let you know and reschedule it. |
| 13:07:47 | deedee |
Welcome, Michal. |
| 13:08:14 | michal |
Thanks, DeeDee! |
| 13:08:14 | DaveC | Thanks. Best to Kris while I'm at it. |
| 13:09:30 | deedee |
Many times the medical community doesn't recognize many natural treatments. They do tell you to eat yogurt after taking antibiotics, so they kind of get it, though usually yogurt is not enough to restore all that was killed by the antibiotics. |
| 13:10:16 | randyu |
DeeDee, thanks for the info. I may need to follow up with a consult; let me know your schedule. It may be after the holiday. I have to run for now. |
| 13:11:37 | deedee |
IBS sometimes will stem from an occurence that creates an imbalance in the good bacteria versus bad. Some of the protocols for IBS would be herbs to heal the intestinal lining, changing the diet, and giving the body good bacteria. |
| 13:11:47 | deedee |
Many times enemas and colonics can also do wonders for IBS. |
| 13:12:31 | deedee |
Welcome, Joseph. See you next time, Randy. |
| 13:12:43 | DaveC | Can probiotics be implanted rectally to reach the colon directly? |
| 13:12:55 | Joseph |
Hello DeeDee, all. |
| 13:13:02 | howard |
For the prostate I found page 147 about the use of frankincense and myrrh and mentioned that OHN has essential oil and raw goat's milk, so I ordered it, and with DeeDee's kind help I learned how to use it. |
| 13:13:06 | deedee |
Howard, would you be willing to share what you are currently doing to help your prostate and arthritis? |
| 13:13:27 | deedee |
Great, Howard. You just answered my question. |
| 13:14:24 | deedee |
People are also finding the suppositories with frankincense and myrrh and other oils helpful for the prostate. They are so easy to use and very effective. |
| 13:15:40 | deedee |
Is anyone planning a cleanse in January? A perfect time to get the body back in digestive shape after the holidays. |
| 13:16:37 | Joseph |
Yeah, I plan a cleanse in January. |
| 13:17:02 | deedee |
For many people looking for a shorter and easier cleanse, I recommend our Core Restore program. For a little longer cleanse, the 21-Day Cleanse works well also. For people who may be used to doing cleanses/fasting, the Vit-Ra-Tox kit is a 5- to 7-day cleanse. |
| 13:17:32 | deedee |
You can then add enemas/colonics to this cleanse to make it even more effective. |
| 13:19:00 | Joseph |
I bought a 7-day item. You just mix a vial in with about 32 oz. of water and drink throughout the day. |
| 13:20:10 | deedee |
Joseph, what is the product called and how does it work? Is it for the digestive system and liver? |
| 13:20:38 | Joseph |
It is from Arbonne. |
| 13:21:23 | deedee |
Do you feel it working, or what is supposed to happen? |
| 13:21:28 | Joseph |
Yes, it has milk thistle and ingredients for the liver... |
| 13:22:36 | Joseph |
Well, they bill it as a weight management system... probably because you drink a lot of water with it... plus gentle elimination of toxins. |
| 13:23:20 | howard |
Looked in Ten Days to Optimal Health and found pg 146, Sesame Oils and Herbs. So I went out with the help of DeeDee and found the Olbas Hebal Tea and it works. |
| 13:23:25 | deedee |
One of the products in the Core Restore program that I love is the PhytoCore. You can also use this product anytime. It supports Phase I and II liver detox by providing phytonutrients to help eliminate toxins and stimulate the liver. |
| 13:24:13 | deedee |
The herb Silymarin is in this product. Silymarin has a role in protecting the liver from medications and environmental contaminants. |
| 13:24:41 | Joseph |
Nice. |
| 13:25:11 | jesser |
Hello, DeeDee and friends. |
| 13:25:18 | Joseph |
Hello, Jesser. |
| 13:25:28 | deedee |
Welcome, Jesser. |
| 13:25:44 | jesser |
And happy new year, DeeDee and all. |
| 13:25:46 | Joseph |
Well I'll give this a shot DeeDee. |
| 13:26:24 | deedee |
Happy new year to you all! |
| 13:27:20 | Joseph |
Happy new year, all. |
| 13:27:51 | deedee |
Joseph, let me know how your cleanse works. |
| 13:28:28 | jesser |
I am trying to be a little careful because, as DeeDee knows, I have had several carpal tunnel surgeries, and I am supposed to be wearing the splints now to prevent the need again for this surgery on my right side. Thus, I would just follow along. |
| 13:28:32 | deedee |
Has anyone read the article in this month's newsletter about the blood-brain barrier and how essential oils can cross that barrier for better healing? |
| 13:28:59 | Joseph |
Haven't read that yet, DeeDee. |
| 13:30:11 | jesser |
Since my mother has Alzheimer's, I definitely plan to check out this newsletter's article. |
| 13:30:29 | deedee |
It is fascinating information and re-emphasizes how essential oils can really help heal the body, so using them in enemas, suppositories, topically, internally can really be effective. |
| 13:30:44 | deedee |
Many drugs and other supplements cannot cross that barrier so they are limited in their effectiveness for healing. |
| 13:31:51 | deedee |
Yes, Jesser! This could really help her! I could help you find the ones that would work best and we could make up a blend. You could rub them on the base of her neck. |
| 13:33:24 | jesser |
What a neat idea! Since unfortunately I do not have the power to lead in her treatment, I cannot presently do this. However, knowing my genetic disposition, I might be interested in pursuing this. |
| 13:35:22 | DaveC |
Lost my mom to Alzheimer's in the 1990s and wonder if this would help. She was very traditional in health practices. |
| 13:36:13 | jesser |
Sorry to hear this, Dave. My mom is 93 and pretty good physically, but the disease has robbed her of her wonderful mathematical mind. |
| 13:36:19 | deedee |
Jesser, preventive treatment is definitely the way to go. |
| 13:37:16 | jesser |
I have no idea when I can get to Madison again, DeeDee, but on my next trip I would like to maybe stay a week, rent a car, go to the campus, etc. |
| 13:38:10 | deedee |
It is such a horrible disease. I currently have an aunt and grandmother-in-law with it, but they are in a facility and I do not have too much contact. |
| 13:38:35 | deedee |
Jesser, that sounds great! |
| 13:39:37 | jesser |
As you know, a year ago, and again this last October, I got away for a long weekend of play time in NY, and the disease is addictive. I would like to do both of these projects in a year ideally! |
| 13:40:01 | DaveC |
From what I see, "memory care" is the newest new thing in elder care, at least in marketing. |
| 13:40:27 | howard |
I have to sign off now. Happy New Year. |
| 13:40:44 | jesser |
My mom is in a truly wonderful memory care part of her retirement home, the best care I have ever seen. |
| 13:41:11 | michal |
Ginkgo should help with memory. |
| 13:41:44 | deedee |
Wouldn't it be nice if they would do more research in the effectiveness of natural treatments? There is just no money in it for them, so we have to do all of our own studies and documentation on what works with our clients and then share that info. |
| 13:41:50 | michal |
I planted ginkgo trees and make almost daily tea. |
| 13:42:06 | DaveC |
Jesser, lots to see, including a cool cave not far from Madison. Been there. |
| 13:42:22 | Joseph |
Nice, Michal! |
| 13:42:39 | deedee |
That is why all of your feedback is so very important so that we can share with others what is working. I see so many people that have first gone the medical route and have not found answers, so they are now trying the natural approach. |
| 13:42:42 | michal |
Thanks, Joseph. |
| 13:42:50 | jesser |
In my recent trips to Madison, I learned I want to see lots more of the Great Lakes Region. |
| 13:43:18 | deedee |
That sounds wonderful, Michal. I wish I could grow them. Do they need a very warm climate year round? |
| 13:44:03 | deedee |
I do keep an herb garden that I use many of the herbs in. |
| 13:44:09 | michal |
Well - I live in Oklahoma. I saw them growing in Indiana. |
| 13:44:41 | jesser |
I lived in OK for almost 47 years, Michal. |
| 13:44:46 | deedee |
Welcome back, PH. |
| 13:44:50 | michal |
They also grow in the Czech Republic. |
| 13:46:14 | deedee |
Well, I would love to grow one. Maybe I will look into this. Ginkgo is great, and I use it in many of my herbal tonic mixtures. Great for keeping the brain and nervous system healthy. Great for people with ADHD also! |
| 13:46:20 | michal |
That's nice to hear, Jesser. I live in Tulsa. |
| 13:46:59 | jesser |
I was on the other end of the state, Michal, working on the campus of OPSU in Goodwell for 20 years. |
| 13:47:04 | deedee |
We are having such a mild climate right now, that some of my herbs are still green! |
| 13:47:39 | jesser |
Have you any clients who have used your Alzheimer's protocol for the fibro fog from FM? So many of us have, DeeDee. |
| 13:47:56 | DaveC |
Jesser: Madison has good tourism publications that you can Google for. But don't forget OHC! |
| 13:50:08 | michal |
Good bye and HAPPY NEW YEAR! |
| 13:50:25 | Joseph |
Happy New Year! |
| 13:50:28 | deedee |
Goodbye Michal and happy new year to you! |
| 13:50:30 | jesser |
And happy new year to you, Michal. |
| 13:51:32 | deedee |
Yes, I do use the herbal and oil mixtures for the brain fog and the bad memory. |
| 13:51:42 | jesser | Thanks for the Madison advice, Dave. |
| 13:52:01 | jesser |
Thanks for this info, DeeDee. |
| 13:52:04 | deedee |
Madison does have a lot to offer. |
| 13:52:27 | deedee |
You are welcome. E-mail me for more details if you'd like. |
| 13:53:03 | jesser | For what my opinion is worth, in addition to many other nice things, Madison is one of America's great university cities. |
| 13:56:20 | deedee |
The next chat will be next Wednesday at noon. See you all then hopefully. |
| 13:56:36 | jesser |
I will get your e-mail address in my address book, DeeDee, and when things are hopefully quieter in the new year, I will look forward to being in touch. |
| 13:56:41 | DaveC |
Thanks. |
| 13:56:51 | Joseph |
Thank you, DeeDee. Be well all. |
| 13:57:07 | PH |
Sometimes it might be better at a different time. |
| 13:57:28 | PH | I have conflicts. |
| 13:57:44 | jesser | This was actually an unusual Wednesday I was available too, Joseph. |
| 13:59:00 | jesser |
PH, I should have directed my comment to you. I hope to join one of these chats again soon. Until then I wish everyone well. |
| 13:59:21 | deedee |
Thank you everyone! |
| 13:59:37 | jesser |
And thank you so much, DeeDee. |
| 14:00:42 | deedee |
Safe happy new year to you, PH. |
| 14:00:47 | PH | What about a different time? |
| 14:01:49 | deedee |
I am not sure what we can do about that, but when is a better time for you? |
| 14:02:04 | deedee |
you can also e-mail me directly for questions. |
| 14:02:34 | PH |
You used to do 6 PM. |
