16:52:26 kristina: Hello all. Kristina Amelong here. It is Wednesday, May 10th.
16:54:32 kristina: We now send an email the day before, or morning of, our Live Chat on Colon Cleansing, Nutrition, Enemas and more.
16:54:44 kristina: How many of you received the email?
16:55:09 kristina: If you didn't receive the email, please sign up on our next newsletter, which is due out the last week of May.
16:55:19 kristina: Hi Dave! How are you doing?
16:55:19 Dave: Hi Kris and all others. Glad to make it after sched conflicts last few months.
16:55:52 kristina: Yes, it is excellent to have you here at this colon cleansing, nutrition and enema live chat.
16:57:45 kristina: Some of you may have read that I am involved in a number of research projects -- enema safety, infant constipation, and coffee enemas.
16:58:29 kristina: I would love to hear from any of you about your thoughts, experiences, anecdotes, fears, and more on these subjects. The more perspectives that I have on these topics, the more deeply I can address them.
16:59:09 kristina: Back to the email to announce that month's live chat on colon cleansing, nutrition and enemas.
16:59:38 kristina: This month, we sent out 58 emails to people who had signed up wanting to be reminded of the live chat.
16:59:55 Dave: Well, Kris, I'm just back from trip and you know ... Want to use your goat soap tonight and wonder about strength. Should I swish in the enema can until milky, run warm water over the bar or however else for right strength?
16:59:59 kristina: I am looking forward to the day when we have all those people, and more show up!
17:01:18 kristina: It isn't exact science, certainly. I would toss the enema soap into the enema can, wait 3-5 minutes, do some swishing around and then take the soap out.
17:01:34 kristina: Hello Michael.
17:02:29 kristina: I wanted to send my blessings to Mike K, who is often on this chat and has spent many hours on the colon cleansing, nutrition and enema forum.
17:02:43 kristina: He was in the hospital this week with heart troubles.
17:02:53 Dave: Sounds like I'll get good dosage, lol.
17:03:02 kristina: Hello, Mike! How are you?
17:03:26 kristina: Lisa...I already missed you, even though it is only 5:03!
17:03:51 MikeK: Spent four great days in hospital
17:04:04 kristina: Will you tell us all the gorey details?
17:04:07 Lisa: HI! My computer is very slow today!
17:04:24 michael_b: hi kristina, hope you and your children and main squeeze timmy are all well and happy.
17:04:32 Dave: So, how many good old fashioned enemas there Mike???
17:04:58 kristina: Sorry, I guess gory has no e. I just spell checked it.
17:05:19 Lisa: Did you see the bird flu movie? It wasn't as bad as I thought.
17:05:29 kristina: Thank you. We are loving our newest baby goats.
17:05:39 kristina: No, Lisa, tell us about the movie. I didn't see it
17:05:56 Lisa: Oh, the goats are finally born!!
17:06:14 kristina: So far, we have 22 new baby goats, with more on the way!
17:06:42 kristina: Mike, are you willing to talk about what is going on with you? I would love to hear your story. I sure do want you around for many years to come!
17:06:53 Dave: No prob w/ fertility at your place, lol.
17:06:57 Lisa: I didn't see all of the movie, because the first hour of American Idol was on, and I can't miss that!
17:07:59 MikeK: Well Kris I don't mind talking about it -- just plain old congestive heart failure
17:08:11 Lisa: The movie brought up the other problems that can happen. there was an older woman who didn't have anyone to take care of her, and she was starving. A neighbor found her, and saved her.
17:08:33 kristina: That is scary! What happens? How many times has this happened? How are you now?
17:08:34 Dave: Belated Hi, Lisa. Got the envelope, many thanks.
17:08:58 kristina: Dave, do you get constipated when you travel?
17:09:12 sawdis: I just tried putting supersalve on some cracked skin on my pinky. sure smells good! Smells like expensive candy lol
17:09:13 kristina: Is that why you will be taking an enema tonight?
17:09:21 Lisa: Hi Don!!
17:09:40 Lisa: I mean Dave! I'm brain dead !!
17:09:44 michael_b: kristina, i see why you learned how to bail hay.
17:09:54 kristina: Excellent idea. I use super salve for lots of things other than the enema or colon hydrotherapy nozzle. It really does help the body to heal.
17:10:36 kristina: Michael, I am not sure what you mean?
17:11:13 michael_b: to feed all those goats.
17:11:33 Lisa: I use Super Salve for other things too. Once my hands got really dry, and used it, and it helped a lot.
17:12:23 Dave: Belated Hi, Lisa. Got the envelope, many thanks.
17:12:57 Lisa: I'n glad you received the envelope Dave!
17:13:13 kristina: Yes, we do bail hay, mostly my husband, Farmer Tim, but I feel lucky when I get to bail hay, as I think it is great fun to be a farmer!
17:13:36 Dave: Yes Kris, that's why it's e-time for me. I should have taken a bag w/ me, but that can be impractical sometimes.
17:14:02 kristina: Have any of you tried the following remedies for constipation and what results did you see?
17:14:04 kristina: Lemon and Honey — Mix two tablespoons of lemon juice and one teaspoon of honey into a glass of warm water. Drink one glass in the morning and one in the evening to bring back regularity.
17:14:22 kristina: Orange Juice and Olive Oil — Drink a glass or mug filled with half each of orange juice and olive oil. It may not taste great but it will have your plumbing running smoothly in no time.
17:14:37 kristina: Grapes — A large bunch of grapes should do the trick.
17:14:59 kristina: a cup of tomato juice mixed with half a cup of sauerkraut juice and a quarter cup of carrot juice.
17:15:18 kristina: Castor oil and honey — Honey seems to appear in many remedies for constipation. In addition to taking it with lemon and even by itself, one can also mix one teaspoon of honey with one teaspoon of castor oil
17:16:08 kristina: Lisa, did the avian flu movie seem to be about scaring people, making them think that the US will have a flu pandemic?
17:17:58 Lisa: It didn't scare me, but I don't know about other folks. Many people died in the movie, but in the end, things got more in control. I think if this happens, Bush will want to take credit for controlling the bird flu!
17:18:37 Lisa: Sorry for the typos!
17:18:44 MikeK: But nobody died in the movie
17:19:03 MikeK: Nobody dies in movies; they only die in real life
17:19:28 MikeK: I think the pharmaceutical companies are setting up to sell more drugs
17:19:39 Dave: Thanks for the oral remedies. Also thinking herbal products my local therapist advocates. But she also makes sure to have a colonic at trip's end too.
17:20:24 kristina: I was wondering if anyone has tried any of those remedies for constipation????
17:20:25 Lisa: People did die in the movie, but they were not the main characters.
17:20:47 michael_b: perhaps many of you know this already, but i read gengis kahn traveled with live aloe vera plants while [as kristina seys] wreaking havoc.
17:20:54 Lisa: Not that I know of anyway, since I missed the first hour.
17:20:59 kristina: Yes, it does seem like a pharmaceutical companies ploy to sell more drugs.
17:21:34 MikeK: Lisa, it's a movie. it's only make-believe
17:21:49 Lisa: Of course Mike!!
17:22:02 kristina: Mike, how is your heart, body, today?
17:22:39 kristina: Lisa, how did your flute conference go?
17:23:05 Lisa: It went really great! Thanks for asking!
17:23:08 sawdis: only thing i used for constipation (before enemas did helluva better job than anything oral) was olive oil on beets
17:23:29 MikeK: Kris I now get to take Lasix and more Lasix, another pill that may makes you pee, to lower your blood pressure and beta-blockers to lower your cholesterol
17:24:03 Lisa: We have some catching up to do Kristina. I haven't been at the computer all that much these days! Been teaching a lot.
17:26:07 MikeK: Oh by the way it has been seven days now without a cigarette
17:26:15 Lisa: Has anyone tried the made-for-enema goat milk soap yet? It works great for me!
17:26:43 Dave: Thanks for the oral remedies. Also thinking herbal products my local therapist advocates. But she also makes sure to have a colonic at trip's end too.
17:26:45 Lisa: That's great Mike! Keep up the good work!!
17:27:25 MikeK: I think so, considering I smoked four packs a day
17:27:35 Lisa: WOW!!!
17:27:51 kristina: Mike, have you read the book The Cholesterol Myths? I think you might get a lot out of it.
17:27:57 sawdis: gj =)
17:28:14 kristina: YAHOO! CONGRATULATIONS ON NO SMOKING! ARE YOU GRUMPIER THAN ALL GET OUT?
17:28:44 MikeK: It has been a battle with my temper
17:29:25 Dave: How are research efforts doing, Kris? Can mail you '43 vintage advice on child constipation that's fine with enemas as reliever while more permanent fixes in place.
17:30:48 Lisa: We only have 5 people here today. Where is everyone?!
17:31:10 kristina: Well, you can yell at me anytime! It is hard to give up smoking and lots of anger, or grief, is very healthy to come up. One just needs support to work through it!
17:31:32 sawdis: must be enjoying the weather? :)
17:33:41 Lisa: You would be proud of me Kristina. I'm eating almost no sugar!
17:33:49 kristina: I love the research. I am writing full time now. After this chat on colon cleansing, nutrition and enemas, I will dive back into my research. These writings will be placed on our websites, www.optimalhealthnetwork.com, www.enemabag.com and www.colonichealth.com.
17:34:08 kristina: That is excellent, Lisa. How did you come to decide to leave sugar out of your diet?
17:34:15 MikeK: We are in the midst of doing some restructuring too
17:34:31 Lisa: You have a lot to do with it!
17:34:45 kristina: And, for the first time, we sent out a reminder to 58 people. And, I cheer all those folks on who are out enjoying the outdoors.
17:35:27 Dave: I quit the weed after 20 years almost 20 years ago and nicotine gum was a very expensive prescription drug. It's easier now, but not easy.
17:36:02 Lisa: Sugar is like a drug. When you eat it, often we want more. I want to grow older well!
17:37:03 MikeK: Dave no gum no drugs just quit
17:37:39 kristina: Lisa, do you want to have a commitment to this group that you will stay sugar free between now and the next live chat, would that be useful to you?
17:38:40 Lisa: This is almost like quiting smoking! I never smoked, but I'm giving up something like Mike is doing!
17:39:03 MikeK: Sawdis it would be better if it was an open forum but there are more problems running an open forum then the benefits that you received
17:39:14 Lisa: I will eat sugar only when I go out to eat once in awhile.
17:39:21 kristina: Yes, you are. Are you facing a challenge with your emotional life and leaving sugar behind?
17:40:08 Lisa: At home, no more sugar, and less bread. I never did eat much bread anyway.
17:40:13 MikeK: I have not found a physical response to stopping smoking only a psychological one
17:41:28 Dave: Mike, Good for you on cold turkey. Know of others who did it that way, if only because of a health crisis.
17:41:50 Lisa: So far, I don't miss the sugar all that much.
17:41:53 MikeK: Well that did help a little
17:41:58 kristina: I truly believe that people smoke to deal with overwhelming amounts of emotional pain. I also truly believe that giving up smoking is an excellent opportunity for healing. All around it is a good thing, as long as you have the support around you that you need and deserve.
17:43:44 Lisa: I didn't stop eating sugar cold turkey. Little by little, I'm stopping, just like smoking!
17:44:14 sawdis: what about eating fruit Lisa?
17:44:48 Lisa: I'm really not a bad sugar junkie. I do eat well also. I just want to be better, and improve myself.
17:45:26 kristina: Back to The Cholesterol Myths, a quote from Sally Fallon. "But what about heart disease?" This is the response of many Americans when advised to consume the foods of their ancestors, foods like butter, whole milk, eggs and meat. Fear of saturated fat and cholesterol has put a solid brick wall between the consumer and satisfying, nutritious food -- and filled the coffers of the food processing industry. Dr. Ravnskov's measured and clear-eyed analysis actually serves as a sledgehammer that breaks down barriers to healthy, sensible eating.
17:45:57 Dave: Despite the low turnout here, Kris, do you detect a growing interest now in colon therapy, enemas included?
17:46:01 Lisa: I do eat some fruit. At Kristina's house, she serves frozen organic fruit. I do eat a little of that, but don't overdo it.
17:46:11 kristina: Well, Lisa, keep us posted. You have made so many changes in the past few years. You have so much to be pleased with about yourself.
17:46:22 michael_b: kristina, i been reading through your new book, at 1230am, the first night i had it, and
17:46:32 kristina: Say more, Dave.
17:46:47 Lisa: Thanks Kristina! I couldn't do it without you!
17:47:41 kristina: I do think that Kevin Trudeau and his book, Natural Cures "They" Don't Want You To Know About, has shed more light on the healing tools of enemas, colon hydrotherapy and colon cleansing.
17:49:09 michael_b: kristina, your book explains what hippies called evil white sugar.
17:49:50 kristina: I am honored to hear that you are reading my book, Ten Days to Optimal Health: A Guide to Nutritional Therapy and Colon Cleansing, even if it was at 12:30 am!
17:50:29 sawdis: i am reading it too... slowly.
17:51:10 sawdis: i read the web version and i want to read the published version all the way through to get all the updates... nice FYIs in the borders! neat idea
17:52:20 kristina: thanks
17:53:16 Dave: Sorry, Kris, typos keep repeating, but Lisa and I have posted on the board anecdotal evidence of mom-daughter colonics and enemas being alive and well, though probably not yet mainstream as it one was.
17:54:29 kristina: I will look those post over. Thanks.
17:54:56 kristina: Wednesday, June 14th, at 6pm, CST is the proposed next Live Chat Date.
17:55:03 Lisa: My Mom will never take enemas. But my sister bought an enema bag, and need to ask her if she has tried it yet.
17:55:10 michael_b: that book is but dog eared, no ref. to arlo, but i am amazed with so much infomation you put between the covers.
17:57:09 kristina: Arlo is here, at my feet, resting, but wishing with all his chocolate lab self that I would take him down to the lake for a swim!
17:57:46 Lisa: Did Arlo fall into a coma again? (An inside joke)
17:58:12 kristina: Okay, for now, we will say, Wednesday, June 14th at 5pm. Lisa and I will talk let you all know if that time changes.
17:58:27 kristina: Welcome Mr_Bill! Glad you could join us.
17:58:49 kristina: Yes, Arlo is in a coma!
17:58:54 Dave: I can attest that Arlo is a fine looking critter
17:59:11 kristina: By the way, Rayna and I went to see the movie, Eight Below. It was great. I highly recommend it.
17:59:18 Lisa: Hi Mrbill! the chat is over in 2 minutes, but hope you can join us next month fir the whole chat!
17:59:22 michael_b: time is running out today, but hope to see all of you again.
17:59:23 mr_bill: is there a danger in taking too much water from an enema
17:59:59 kristina: The colon will most often cramp up, causing you lots of pain, when it is full.
18:00:22 kristina: I have never been in a situation, and I have cleaned thousands of colons, where a person could have taken too much water.
18:00:58 mr_bill: i find that usually the cramps cease after a brief rest
18:01:35 kristina: Yes, the colon can cramp, even with only 1/2-1 cup of water in it.
18:02:43 kristina: This is because the majority of the nerve endings that are in the colon that stimulate a defecatory response are in the lower colon.
18:03:01 kristina: Mr Bill and hi, what time did you think this live chat started? How did you get this information?
18:03:02 sawdis starting to wonder if people are getting standard time and daylight savings time mixed up for the chat time
18:03:28 hi: i wasn't sure, just stumbled across it
18:03:52 mr_bill: from a link at the enemabag.com
18:04:19 Dave: Maybe that cramping is what puts enemas off for people from very early experience, and very unfortunate.
18:04:32 kristina: But, the entire length of the colon, from rectum to cecum, can hold 2-4 quarts of water, easily, as long as one allows the enema solution to enter the colon slowly enough to avoid stimulating the rectal and sigmoid areas of the colon.
18:05:25 kristina: Yes, the cramping puts people off from enemas.
18:07:10 kristina: The elimination of cramping from the home colon cleansing experiences is one of the main themes in my work. I focus on it in all of my enema movies
18:07:58 mr_bill: which of the enema videos do suggest for beginners?
18:09:55 kristina: Mr Bill, what are your goals for watching an enema movie?
18:10:32 mr_bill: learning the proper and safe method
18:11:12 kristina: Without knowing more, I would recommend the two downloadable videos, Large Volume Enema and Small Volume Enema
