| 17:57:46 | Dave | Hi everybody. |
| 17:58:50 | kristina |
Hi folks. |
| 17:59:05 | Lisa | Hello everyone! |
| 17:59:30 | 210bob | Kristina, you have many receipes and implants. Just when and why do you use them? |
| 18:00:21 | Dave | Hi Carol, first time here? |
| 18:00:54 | bbholl | hi everyone! :) |
| 18:01:58 | Carol45 |
Greetings everyone - yes this is my first time here. |
| 18:02:00 | Lisa | Has anyone received the OHN newsletter? Maybe I didn't receive it because I need to put in my new email address. The forum has it, but maybe to get the newsletter, I'll need to put in my email address again. |
| 18:02:45 | 210bob | I received mine Lisa. |
| 18:03:25 | bbholl | welcome! :) |
| 18:03:42 | Lisa | Ok, thanks! I just need to put in my new email address again. |
| 18:04:57 | Dave | Any topics besides implants folks want to explore? |
| 18:06:02 | Carol45 |
Just a thought - wouldn't it be great to have a "family reunion" in Madison and meet one another? :D |
| 18:06:05 | Lisa |
Looks like we are getting a good group today! now we are waiting for the boss |
| 18:06:15 | kristina | I am here! |
| 18:06:25 | bbholl | I like the idea, Carol |
| 18:06:37 | Mark_ | Greetings to all. First timer |
| 18:06:49 | kristina | Implants in the colon... |
| 18:07:03 | bbholl | hi! |
| 18:07:03 | kristina | It depends on who you are and what your health goals are. |
| 18:07:10 | Lisa | Carol, I was thinking of getting us together for a small convention. We'll see what happens. |
| 18:07:17 | kristina | I tend to recommend sea salt in every enema. |
| 18:07:27 | kristina | Peppermint in every enema series. |
| 18:07:36 | kristina | Coffee at the end of each enema series. |
| 18:07:41 | Alovman |
Sometimes, when I take a high enema or one with an active ingredient, e.g., glycerine, I have an unexpected urgent need to expel a bit more a few or more hours later. This is very embarrassing. Any suggestions? |
| 18:07:46 | bbholl | what is it about sea salt and sugar that helps? |
| 18:08:01 | Mark_ | What is the proper way to prepare the colon for a coffee enema implant? Info on your website is not consistent. |
| 18:08:06 | Dave | Kristina, how about soap as a starter if needed? |
| 18:08:08 | kristina | Lisa, you can also email KJ for a newsletter. |
| 18:08:12 | Carol45 | I thought I was supposed to leave the salt out of the coffee -? |
| 18:08:26 | Lisa | Thanks Kris! |
| 18:08:53 | Lisa | Sugar in an enema? I never heard of that! |
| 18:09:40 | kristina | If you use a substance that is stimulating, you always want to take another enema with just water and sea salt in order to wash out the stimulant. |
| 18:09:40 | bbholl | I think it's OHN |
| 18:10:02 | Lisa |
No, we don't use sea salt in coffee. |
| 18:10:06 | Carol45 |
Doesn't salt slow down the water absorption in the colon? |
| 18:10:15 | kristina | I am sorry. I was lazy there, salt in the cleansing enemas but not the coffee enema. |
| 18:10:47 | Lisa | Oh you lazy bum Kris! Just kidding!! |
| 18:10:50 | bbholl | sorry, I meant on OHN |
| 18:11:58 | kristina |
Yes, salt does slow down the absorption of water. Obviously, when you put water into the colon you want the water to stimulate peristalsis and not to be absorbed. |
| 18:12:17 | Alovman | Thanks for the info, Kristina. |
| 18:12:21 | bbholl | I thought I read about sugar in one of your articles, Kristina, or am I wrong? |
| 18:12:22 | kristina | Also, salt assists the body with its electrolyte levels or mineral levels. |
| 18:12:34 | Mark_ | So how about a consistent guideline to follow on how to take a coffee enema? |
| 18:12:37 | kristina |
And, sea salt is therapeutic to the tissues of the colon, as is sugar. |
| 18:12:58 | Dave | Any one here to join me in the confessional on taking a Fleet while traveling, other circumstances? |
| 18:13:09 | Lisa | Funny, I didn't know that about sugar!! |
| 18:13:21 | kristina |
Yes, I have started to recommend sugar in enemas for folks who have an inflamed colon. The sugar helps to decrease inflammation, along with the salt and the aspirin. |
| 18:13:23 | bbholl | I used a fleet enema a long time ago once - hated it |
| 18:14:06 | Carol45 |
Just received the sea salt from OHN. It's coarser grained than I expected - but I'm already hooked on it - lol |
| 18:14:59 | kristina | With the coffee enema, I recommend that first you clean out the entire colon using at least one enema, but ideally two. |
| 18:15:32 | kristina | In these enemas, you can use sea salt and peppermint or sea salt and a high quality enema soap like Dr. Bronner's or our goat milk soap. |
| 18:16:04 | kristina |
These two enemas, done slowly, will most often clear out the entire length of the colon. Sometimes a third cleansing enema is needed. |
| 18:16:26 | kristina | For the last enema in the series, you do a coffee enema, which is to be held for 12-15 minutes. |
| 18:16:46 | Carol45 |
Coffee at night tends to keep me alert, just not sleepy, and I don't have time in the morning for a series. Can I cleanse at 9 at night and coffee at 5 in the morning? |
| 18:16:53 | bbholl | Kristina, do you only offer colonics, or do you offer enemas as well? |
| 18:17:05 | kristina | I recommend that people start out their coffee enema program with only 1 T of coffee and possibly work their way up to as much as one cup. |
| 18:18:10 | kristina |
We offer colonics, enema series, massage and a FIR sauna here at the Optimal Health Center. |
| 18:18:33 | bbholl | ok, thanks! |
| 18:18:41 | kristina | Yes, Carol, all enema programs need to work for the person who is using it. |
| 18:19:05 | kristina | It is best to take them all together, but if the other works best for you, it is fine. |
| 18:19:44 | kristina | The original proponents of the coffee enema didn't advocate a cleansing enema to start with at all. |
| 18:20:12 | Dave |
"Back when," it was one enema fits all - soapsuds |
| 18:20:14 | kristina | I do because I have found that more people can then hold the coffee longer and because the gallbladder dumps bile and toxins into the small intestines. |
| 18:20:17 | Carol45 | Is that 1 cup to 1 quart or 2? |
| 18:20:57 | kristina | If you think about it, a coffee enema doesn't pull out toxins from the body when it is given, but rather some hours after it is given, as long as a person has the proper speed throughout their digestive tract. |
| 18:21:22 | kristina | 1 quart of water is what I recommend with the coffee enemas. |
| 18:22:09 | kristina | If the digestive tract isn't moving along waste quickly enough, the results of the coffee enema can easily be pulled back into the body. |
| 18:22:32 | kristina | Recently, I did a research project on this due to an email that I received. |
| 18:23:00 | bbholl | how do you know if the tract is moving fast enough? |
| 18:23:14 | kristina | I am percolating on the idea that what I need to start recommending is that if a person is going to take a coffee enema, they also need to make sure that they take a cleansing enema around 12 hours later. |
| 18:23:26 | Carol45 |
I know that my upper tract works slow, from swallowing to reaching the stomach. Is there any way to speed up the lower tract? |
| 18:23:42 | Mark_ |
Kristina - Thanks for info on the guideline. On your website you recommend after the soap enema, a pepermint/salt enema. Is that something not needed now? How about cleaning enemas between soap... peppermint... and coffee enemas? |
| 18:23:55 | Carol45 |
Oops - I typed too slow. |
| 18:24:15 | kristina | Ideally, the bowels would empty within 12 hours or sooner after taking the coffee enema. |
| 18:24:41 | kristina | In order to optimize the speed of one's digestion, there are many things to do. |
| 18:25:25 | Dave |
I have found that holding a quart or little more of the coffee enema is fine with proper prep. |
| 18:25:35 | kristina | One needed tool, that seems to many of us to be counter-intuitive, is to eat enough protein. I recommend 80-100 grams daily, but not all in the form of muscle meats and most definitely not in the form of soy or grains. |
| 18:26:10 | Carol45 | How do grams convert to ounces? |
| 18:26:20 | kristina | Your body must be resourced with optimal amounts of protein or amino acids in order for digestion to work properly. |
| 18:26:45 | Alovman |
For Dave. I traveled a lot on business. I gave up fleet enemas in favor of a small folding douche bag (womens hygiene type), 4 ft of latex hose, and a large green nozzle. It fits in a small pkg. I don't care what airport screeners think. |
| 18:26:49 | kristina | Also, the thyroid gland must be fully working in order to have an ideal speed of digestion. |
| 18:27:30 | Alovman |
For Carol, about 28 grams to an oz |
| 18:27:58 | Alovman | Think 30 ml to a liquid oz |
| 18:29:12 | Carol45 | I'm trying to work out a 3 oz REAL COW hamburger. :/ |
| 18:29:23 | Dave | Looks like a fine setup, Alovman. For me mainly a convenience issue. |
| 18:30:03 | michael_t |
michael b 28.5 grams to 1 ounce, happy sept. to all |
| 18:30:04 | kristina | Some musings I have done on metabolic speed: |
| 18:30:11 | Mark_ | Again, are cleansing enemas needed between soap, peppermint and coffee enemas? |
| 18:30:28 | kristina |
Speed is key for the metabolism in order to keep processes functioning well. Speed means normal speed with results that are positive, not speed and then collapse. So how does speed work well in the body? Let's start with the digestive tract and work our way through the body and see what happens. If our digestion is working well, meaning that our intestinal peristalsis is working at all times, we create speed of digestion that is crucial. Why? Because any slowing down or stasis (stopping of the gut) creates bacterial growth and endotoxins and these may work their way into our circulation. This is disastrous and a cause of lots of problems not only in the digestive system but also in any part of the body that cannot deal with endotoxins. |
| 18:30:48 | kristina |
The liver must work at a speed that keeps up with detox as well as manufacture and storage of vital nutrients. Without this our liver is toxic and malfunctioning. A huge role of the liver is to convert T4 to T3 and break down all used hormones. Speed pertains to cellular functions as well. We need a speedy circulation that brings the nutrients to cells so that the cells can utilize O2 and glucose quickly to make good energy all the time, as well as reject toxins from the cells. The cells must also repair in a speedy fashion. This is true of beta oxidation of fats and the creation of energy through the citric acid cyle. So we get back to the liver where we detox the endotoxins and we pass them through an efficient gut to the colon where they are delivered into the toilet. This is true for the kidneys and the skin and lungs as well. So how do we keep a speedy metabolism? Well we need to look at our hormones as they are in charge of speed. The thyroid is in charge of the speed that we convert nutrients to energy and the heat that is released as result. Without adequate T3 our metabolism slows down, our gut slows down, and our detox pathways slow down. |
| 18:31:07 | kristina |
Oxygen, carbon dioxide, and glucose speed up our metabolism. Sunshine speeds up our metabolism. Pregnenolone and progesterone as well as DHEA are in charge of speed. Each of these steroid hormones helps our body be more efficient but we will talk about these later. What slows down our efficiency and speed are estrogen, cortisol, adrenalin, unsaturated fatty acids and lactic acid. Estrogen causes hypoxia in the cells, which is a lack of O2, and causes edema, which causes us to hold onto fluids. This causes inflammation and impedes circulation to the area. Cortisol and adrenalin cause an initial speeding up because these steroid hormones raise blood sugar. But the result of too much cortisol and adrenaline is that the cells release fatty acids and amino acids to make into glucose to raise blood sugar and these nutrients impede a free flow of energy. It is very labor intensive to make glucose from amino acids
and fatty acids, which slow us down. Also fatty acids cause lots of oxidation which is damaging to our body. Amino acids are needed for repair not energy. So raising blood sugar in this way is counterproductive and dangerous. |
| 18:31:09 | Carol45 | Soap and pepperment are cleansing for me. |
| 18:31:40 | kristina |
So how do we measure speed in the body? Subjectively we feel really good - solid and not upset energy. Not anxiety and tension - nice smooth energy. We have excellent digestion and concentration. We do not rely on uppers or coffee to keep us going. Our hair mineral analysis results show speedy progress as we eliminate toxins and our basal temps are between 98.2 and 98.6 and higher. Our teeth do not accumulate toxins and tartar and we get over infections quickly |
| 18:32:43 | kristina | Peppermint and sea salt are a wonderful second enema in a series. |
| 18:33:03 | kristina | I don't find that that enema solution needs to be washed out before a coffee enema is taken. |
| 18:34:06 | kristina | Alovman, |
| 18:34:15 | kristina | I love that you don't care what airport folks think. |
| 18:34:27 | Carol45 | Thanks Kristina. |
| 18:34:32 | kristina |
How does anyone learn anything except to have contact with it? |
| 18:35:03 | Mark_ |
Carol - I would imagine soap as well as peppermint leave a residue, film or traces on the lining. Does this interfere with next enema, a coffee enema? Or should one use water and salt to clear the residue?.....I think Kristina just answered the question. |
| 18:35:37 | kristina | Given all the stress those airport workers are under these days, I would hope many brave souls share their confidence regarding the healing aspects of enemas with those lovely people. |
| 18:35:50 | darvis |
Hello everyone - nice to talk to you all |
| 18:35:57 | kristina | Are folks having a problem with being kicked off the chat? |
| 18:36:06 | Lisa | Back to the sugar, there are different kinds of sugar. What kind of sugar will work best? |
| 18:36:06 | Mark_ | No |
| 18:36:11 | Mike_K | No |
| 18:36:20 | Andrea | no |
| 18:36:21 | kristina | Table sugar. |
| 18:36:56 | Carol45 | I was once, but put it down to probably klicking something I shouldn't have since I'm new. |
| 18:37:05 | kristina | Have I missed any questions or comments? |
| 18:37:35 | kristina | Carol, you said earlier that you are hooked on the sea salt. |
| 18:37:50 | darvis |
Kristina, I read an article that you wrote about M & M enemas...do you still reccomend them? |
| 18:37:55 | kristina | Can you talk about what differences you notice using the sea salt in your enema solution? |
| 18:38:18 | kristina | I have used milk and molasses enemas but only when they were prescribed to the client by a doctor. |
| 18:38:22 | Mark_ | One more. After the coffee enema (holding it for 15+ minutes), should one end the series with a water and salt enema? |
| 18:38:28 | kristina | I write about it in detail on my blog. |
| 18:38:31 | Dave |
As a frequent flier, I find inspectors not interested in plastic/rubber. Just don't board with a full bag, LOL. |
| 18:39:02 | kristina | No, you don't need to take another enema after the coffee implant. |
| 18:39:10 | Mark_ | Thanks |
| 18:39:16 | Carol45 | The flavor is great in cooking. In the enema solutions, it seems more calming rather than agitating. |
| 18:39:18 | michael_t |
mag was having trouble getting onto the chat, as was i |
| 18:39:32 | kristina | Thanks, Dave. Given your line of work, I was surprised! |
| 18:39:46 | Mark_ | Need to sign off. Appreciate the insight. Very worthwhile! |
| 18:40:41 | Lisa | You can't get on board a plane with Fleets now. I don't like Fleets anyway! |
| 18:40:51 | kristina |
Yes, eat lots of sea salt. It is therapeutic to the adrenal glands. These glands that help us to handle stress need us to tend to them more than most of us do. Just by taking in therapeutic amounts of sea salt, up to 1 1/2 teaspoons daily, the body will more easily be able to handle stress. |
| 18:41:13 | darvis | but you can pack them and put through Lisa |
| 18:41:24 | kristina | And, as far as sea salt in the enema solution, the calming effect is exactly what we are going after. Thanks so much for sharing. |
| 18:41:46 | kristina | Anyone else notice a difference when using the sea salt in their enema solution? |
| 18:41:47 | Lisa | I take only carry on. I'm always in a hurry! |
| 18:41:51 | TheCaveMan | Hi Kris. I have a question regarding your sugar suggestion. Is there not a concern that the sugar will increase the population of candida found in the gut? |
| 18:42:18 | Andrea | I'm confused about coffee enema. Can i ask a question? |
| 18:42:18 | darvis | Lisa, you make me smile... :) |
| 18:42:25 | bbholl | where can I buy sea salt other than OHN? |
| 18:42:49 | bbholl | just curious |
| 18:43:09 | kristina | You ought to be able to pick it up at any grocery that sells organic foods. |
| 18:43:19 | kristina | yes, andrea, please do |
| 18:43:28 | bbholl | thanks |
| 18:43:31 | Lisa | Whole Foods has the very same brand of sea salt, but much more expensive! |
| 18:43:35 | Carol45 | Lisa - I can picture running through the airport / customs with bags and tubes flying out behind you :D |
| 18:43:47 | bbholl | does Kroger or Meijer have it? |
| 18:44:00 | darvis | and no toilets in site lol |
| 18:44:11 | bbholl | :D |
| 18:44:26 | kristina | No |
| 18:45:07 | Lisa | Wow! I sure didn't mean that! I meant I'm always in a hurry getting out of the airport because I'm often on a schedule. But I'm sure you are just teasing! LOL! |
| 18:45:12 | Dave | Carol, since when was an enema terrorism? Well ..., LOL |
| 18:45:42 | darvis | nothing more than that Lisa, from one friend to another |
| 18:46:20 | kristina |
sugar, when it is used therapeutically, helps to heal many things, including the colon from a yeast overgrowth. One of my main goals over the next 1-3 years is to be a part of a team that puts together a new body of knowledge that includes the therapeutic uses of sugar. |
| 18:46:52 | Lisa |
I'm only taking a bulb to Austria anyway, but if I find a German made enema bag, I could be bring an enema bag home!! |
| 18:47:13 | michael_t |
that was quite a bomb, RC- i still thinking about it. |
| 18:47:35 | darvis |
Lisa, I am certain a klyster store would have one suited for our needs *bird* |
| 18:47:52 | Carol45 | Lisa - I'm always in a hurry too and often grab something at the last minute that doesn't make it into the bag. |
| 18:48:22 | kristina | The disaccharides and monosaccharides are what is needed for the liver to work well and for cellular respiration. |
| 18:48:45 | kristina | However, polysaccharides are not needed by the body and often harm the body, such as grains. |
| 18:49:05 | Carol45 |
Kristina - what would sugar enemas do to diabetes? |
| 18:49:26 | bbholl |
what do you suggest would be the best source of protein? |
| 18:49:28 | Alovman | This is my first time here. I never seem to be free the day of these chats. Thanks you all so much. I'm enjoying this! |
| 18:49:37 | darvis |
How much sugar do you recommend putting in a 3 quart enema? |
| 18:50:00 | kristina |
The saccharides or sugars that cause yeast overgrowth are from the polysaccharides. However, I fully understand that this is controversial - this is why it will take years to put out, so that folks can use it therapeutically. |
| 18:50:07 | Lisa | I'm so glad Alovman! Nice to have you with us! |
| 18:50:38 | kristina | Gelatin, soup broth, raw dairy, liver, eggs, potato juice, small amounts of muscle meats, shellfish |
| 18:50:56 | kristina | Thanks for being here. I love doing this and I would be able to do it without all of you! |
| 18:51:02 | Andrea |
Greetings all. what is minimum amount of coffee to get maximum good liver effect? I'm working with breast cancer, and feel SOOO good after coffee enemas. but can get hyper. |
| 18:51:09 | georgette |
kristina at what point during a colonic do you begin an implant and how long are retention times? |
| 18:51:17 | kristina | 1 teaspoon of sugar per quart of water. |
| 18:51:26 | bbholl | shellfish? Great! shrimp here I come! :D |
| 18:51:35 | darvis |
Thank you... Kristina |
| 18:51:46 | kristina | We use peppermint, soap and sea salt in the middle of the colon therapy session. |
| 18:52:06 | kristina | We use coffee and olive oil, msm and aloe vera at the very end of a colon therapy session |
| 18:52:28 | bbholl | how much do your colonic sessions usually run? |
| 18:52:40 | kristina | I recommend shellfish one time per week for its copper, selenium and other mineral content, as well as its protein. |
| 18:52:43 | Lisa |
I just thought of the song, a little bit of sugar makes the medicine godown, from Mary Poppins. But not that it helps the enema go down! SORRY!!! |
| 18:52:55 | georgette |
what kind of soap? |
| 18:53:31 | darvis |
Lisa, you are supercalafragalisticex - can't spell that |
| 18:53:44 | kristina |
Fun, Lisa... makes the medicine go down... |
| 18:53:49 | bbholl | I've never heard of potato juice before |
| 18:53:50 | Andrea | expialladoshious |
| 18:53:55 | Dave | Lisa, enemas go UP! |
| 18:54:07 | bbholl | dictionary anyone? :) |
| 18:54:14 | Lisa | I'm just trying to type too fast. Sorry I can't edit this! |
| 18:54:29 | michael_t |
a most wonderful september to all, bye now. |
| 18:54:37 | kristina |
Castile soap and goat's milk soap |
| 18:54:38 | darvis | Dave, it depends what position you are in |
| 18:54:55 | kristina |
Bye Michael, and thanks for coming!!! |
| 18:55:29 | georgette |
does your website give directions for the procedure - amts, timing etc? |
| 18:55:47 | Dave | How about Oct 11 as next chat? |
| 18:55:58 | darvis | sounds good to me. |
| 18:56:06 | kristina |
Yes, potato juice is not the most popular vegetable juice, but if one is a vegetarian, it is by far your best source of protein, but you don't want all the starch that comes with the potato so it is best to juice your potatoes. How, well, that is a whole nother story! |
| 18:56:09 | bbholl | same here |
| 18:56:20 | kristina | Procedure for..? |
| 18:56:38 | bbholl | what do you think about the Jack Elane power juicer? |
| 18:56:44 | Lisa | Believe me, I do spell just fine. Just got excited and was typing really fast! No grades here, please! |
| 18:57:00 | Andrea |
I have one, Jack Lalane, its v.good, easy to clean |
| 18:57:19 | kristina | Perfect, 5pm, CST, on October 11th it is. Thanks, Dave, for taking care of that! |
| 18:57:20 | bbholl | really? I just grabbed my red pen - kidding :) |
| 18:57:23 | georgette |
are you familiar with the Green for Life recipe for mixing greens with fruit and if so what do you think? |
| 18:57:31 | kristina | Ask me in an email about the juicer.. |
| 18:58:08 | darvis | Kristina, have you thought any more about a meeting in Madison? |
| 18:58:10 | Andrea | kristina, what about my coffee amount question? |
| 18:58:26 | Carol45 |
Hey everyone this chat was GREAT. Thanks for all the super information. Hope I didn't pop in too much. *choochoo* |
| 18:58:54 | Jowanze |
Since I only found your website a week ago i think I'll just "listen" to the chat. |
| 18:58:54 | Lisa | That was my project about the meeting, and I don't know if it will work. |
| 18:58:59 | Dave | Well, I only counted 4 weeks on calendar, Kris, LOL. Soon. |
| 18:59:01 | darvis |
No we like your wonderful comments... Carol, in the board and here |
| 18:59:01 | kristina |
I need to know what one's Metabolic Type is before I would recommend drinking vegetable juice. Vegetable juice is not good for everyone, especially if you are a protein type |
| 18:59:38 | bbholl | see y'all next month! |
| 18:59:40 | kristina |
I have not thought further about a meeting in Madison - if you are interested, please email me personally with a bit of history of who you are, what you would like to see happen, and when. Thanks. |
| 18:59:51 | kristina | Carol, I loved the train. |
| 19:00:04 | Lisa | This may be my last live chat for many reasons. But one reason is that I'm getting very busy. |
| 19:00:07 | darvis |
We will, Kristina. Thank you so much |
| 19:00:15 | kristina | And, as long as I can keep up, there is no such thing as popping in too much. Have a great night all. I will close now. |
